My name is Jane Bevan and I am the Owner/Manager of Primrose Fayre.  I started my business in 1998 and have made some changes over the years, to make Primrose Fayre the best it can be.  I was taught to cook by my mum from an early age, but when she died when I was only 15,  I had to learn quickly.


I have always had a passion for food and I love being in the kitchen baking.  We eat with our eyes, so I pride myself in making the food look nice with lots of garnishes.  Its good home cooking from fresh ingredients at prices that everyone can afford.  I offer a friendly, personal service, making each client feel special.


In 2012, I was lucky enough to get Highly Commended in the White Cliffs Business Awards.


In 2015, I was a finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards.  Also this year, I was nominated for Mumpreneur of the Year in the Kent Women in Business Awards.  When they announced my name saying I had won, I was extremely proud and thanked my mum, although she was no longer with us.  In addition, I won runner-up in the Kent Independent Traders Awards for Home-Based Business.  It was quite a year!


In 2016, I was runner-up in the Kent Women in Business Awards for Mumpreneur of the Year and a finalist in the Kent Independent Traders Awards for Home-Based Business.  A huge thank you to all my clients for their nominations without which I could not win awards.


On 29 September 2017 I was a finalist in the Independent Business Awards Kent and I was overwhelmed when I won an Inspired Business Award.  I was inspired by my mum in the short time I knew her and to win this award is recognition of all she taught me.


In March 2019 I won Runner-up in the Kent Women in Business Awards.


I have been lucky enough to have had some lovely clients over the years including one or two celebrities.  I did an afternoon tea for Miriam Margolyes at Deal Town Hall and made cakes for Robert Hardy and Vanessa Redgrave whilst filming at Walmer Castle.


I have recently extended my menus to include home deli foods and changed the name back to its original name of Primrose Fayre.  This is because I not only do catering, I have my Delicate Tums for those with food intolerances and I can produce cooked meats, pat├ęs, cakes and pastries, indeed a wide range food.  It is all made fresh, so you can be assured of quality.
